The original poster was published as a colour lithograph which is a way of printing invented in the late eighteenth century. This process involves creating repellent areas on a print so that colour is applied to only certain areas at a time using a metal plate. Lithgraphic printing was heavily used for advertising prints until the advent of photographic processes in the 20th century.

*Please note* This print has a white border (not pictured) approx 4cm (longest side) x 2cm (shortest side).
